The kitchen is one of the most vital rooms in a home. More than any other, it reflects the personality of the family that lives there. It is also the busiest space and should be designed to meet the needs of the people who will use it. It is where you cook and eat your meals, share laughs and stories with your families, and create lasting memories. That’s why it’s essential to ensure your kitchen is functional and beautiful.

When remodeling your kitchen, we want your money’s worth in terms of beauty and utility. We understand that you want to make your kitchen an attractive, convenient, and efficient feature of the house. While beauty is a matter of individual taste, good design, colors, materials, and equipment must be based on practicality to add comfort and convenience to your family.

The first thing to consider when planning a kitchen is that there are two kinds of work areas: fixed and mobile. In planning the mobile kitchen layout, we think about not just how you cook but also where you do the most cooking. If you like to cook outdoors on the grill, for instance, your kitchen layout should reflect that.

Our expert team will start by drawing up a floor plan that will include every appliance you want to install in your kitchen. From there, we will plan how everything will look within your kitchen’s space. The process starts with simple arithmetic, determining where your appliances will stay. We will outline each appliance first, including cabinet space above or below for storage purposes. We will also design where the plumbing needs to go if you want to install new sinks. Once this is complete, we will map out the walls and design your cabinetry around all of your appliances.

  • LAYOUT. The layout of your kitchen is fundamental. We will thoroughly plan it out to make it easy to work in and practical for the way you cook. We always consider where the stove, refrigerator, and sink should go. Also, we think about how much counter space you will need and where it should be placed.
  • COUNTERTOPS. You may have a favorite color or style in mind for your kitchen, but you also need to think about the function of the countertops. They should be easy to clean and durable enough to withstand constant use.
  • CABINETRY. Cabinets come in a variety of styles, shapes and sizes, materials. They provide storage space for dishes, pots and pans, food, appliances, and workspace. We will provide you with options, such as solid wood, plywood, laminate, or MDF (medium-density fiberboard).
  • SINKS. We always remind our clients that the sink should be located near the point of use. Otherwise, special devices for handling dirty dishes must be provided. When work tables are used, they should be placed so that traffic does not pass behind them.
Wherever possible, there should also be ample space between work tables and cabinets to allow room for service trays to pass through. Preferably, all appliances should be within reach of electrical outlets serving counter-mounted equipment (e.g. blenders). Where counter-mounted equipment is not practical (e.g. gas ranges), supply cords should be run under the counter and out of sight.
  • APPLIANCES. The placement of appliances should be considered when designing your kitchen. The refrigerator should be placed so that you can open the door without obstruction and do not block traffic. The oven and stovetop should also be placed so that there is a minimum amount of walking between them. Additionally, we place the dishwasher near the sink and the trash in a convenient spot.
  • LIGHTING. Good lighting is as vital as a compact layout in food preparation and general family living areas. We believe that the best placement for table lamps designed to serve more than one person is on the wall at about shoulder height. This arrangement provides the light needed for reading and writing and works at a countertop surface. For specific tasks such as sewing, a floor lamp should be put close to the knee on a side opposite from where you will be sitting at a table or desk.
  • STORAGE. Homeowners of today need modern equipment that simplifies kitchen tasks and reduces drudgery. Adequate storage space is important for the proper flow of home activities throughout the day. Good design means making the most of available space. We make sure that everything has its place so that it is convenient to put away when not in use and quick to find when needed. One idea is to have a roll-out tray for commonly used items at the counter level: cooking utensils, spices, herbs, etc.
  • FLOORING. We ensure that the flooring in your kitchen is easy to clean and hard-wearing. There are many types of flooring available, so we will ask you to choose after providing you with the best possible options.

Frequently Asked Questions

We want it to be easy for you, so we put together these three frequently asked questions about kitchen remodeling:

Kitchen remodels can cost anywhere from a few thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you're on a budget, we will discuss the best possible options according to what you can afford. Nonetheless, we make sure that you will love the results, whatever your budget is.

A few of the most popular kitchen trends include natural materials, such as stone countertops, subway tiles, and cabinets finished with oil-based paint. Other design options could be backsplashes made from various types of metal or glass and appliances with different colors and finishes. Knowing what kind of look you want for your kitchen will help narrow down which designs are suitable for you.

Kitchen remodels usually involve demolishing existing cabinets and appliances, so a great way to save money is to see if certain appliances or cabinets can be rearranged within the current layout of your kitchen. If you have a small kitchen, it might also be a good idea to replace bulky items with smaller ones that take up less space.
